About Me

I was first exposed to the fiber arts at the age of 12, when my mother taught me step-by-step sewing lessons. I was hooked! As my sewing experience progressed, more in-depth techniques and detailed projects were added along the way. Throughout the next 35 years, I fine tuned my creations into what has become my business today, Needles and Pins.

My husband and I are "empty nesters" -- our two children live nearby -- but they have pursued their own careers. We live in Brenham, Texas, home of Blue Bell Ice Cream. My husband is an outdoors type of guy who loves to do yard work and garden. He has developed his own recipes for canned pickles, okra, pears and salsa. I, on the other hand, am an indoors type of person. This arrangement works well for our family, since I have a business that requires I stay in the studio most of my time.
